Flux Calcined

January 6, 2011

Flux-calcining involves processing at 1200°C while adding up to 10% of sodium compounds, such as salt, soda ash, or sodium hydroxide. Flux-calcining significantly intensifies those changes occurring in the physical and chemical properties during calcining and makes a very white product that is desirable in some applications.
